FACT ONE

Innovative assistive device

The Inhalever is a single piece, assistive device, attachable to a pressurised metered dose inhaler (pMDI), designed to enhance the patient’s ability in obtaining full metered dosage consistently and reliably.

FACT TWO

Ergonomic easy to use design

Many patients lack dexterity, with physical limitations, such as rheumatic pain in the hands and finger joints, or muscle and tendon deficiencies, affecting their ability to fully press the canister. Lack of strength, grip and span also contribute to incorrect use and dosage issues. This in turn engenders anxiety, loss of confidence, and uncertainty at a time when assurance is most needed.

FACT THREE

Full metered dose everytime

This apparatus slides onto the inhaler casing, simply and effectively, locating securely in place for use. The design, with integral lever, employs a unique floating fulcrum, the most simple and efficient system in transferring pressure directly to the point of contact.

Not having a fixed fulcrum, or pivot, the Inhalever is a totally new concept in lever design. Needing only a simple downward pressure, the heel of the hand, the wrist or forearm can be used to press the lever, to obtain full metered dosage.

Previous trigger activated levers, requiring grip and strength and dexterity have proved unsuitable in accommodating the many compromising conditions previously mentioned.

FACT FOUR

Better patient outcomes

The easy operation and gentle pressure required, will enable the patient to concentrate more on their breathing and inhaling technique, knowing that the full dose of medication will be reliably dispensed. Poorly managed respiratory conditions contribute to poor outcomes. The purpose of this assistive device is to enable enhancement in the management of those conditions and ultimately promote better patient outcomes.
